The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer is a 2011 American crime drama film adapted from the novel of the same name by Michael Connelly, starring Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Phillippe andMarisa Tomei. The film is directed by Brad Furman, with a screenplay written by John Romano.[3]

Moderately successful criminal defense attorney Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) operates around Los Angeles County out of a Lincoln Town Car driven by a former client working off his legal fees (hence the title). Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy and son of real estate mogul Mary Windsor (Frances Fisher), who is accused of the brutal beating of a prostitute. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.
Roulet is seemingly innocent and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Haller and his investigator Frank Levin (William H. Macy) analyze the pictures and evidence, notably the injuries the victim sustained. It bears a similarity to a past case of Haller's that landed a previous client, Jesus Martinez (Michael Peña), in jail for murdering a woman, despite always proclaiming his innocence.
Haller spends time with his ex-wife, prosecutor Maggie McPherson (Marisa Tomei), who has never appreciated Haller's efforts on behalf of guilty criminals when he ought to be trying to put them behind bars. All his clients claim to be innocent, but Haller begins to wonder if he should have tried harder on behalf of Martinez instead of convincing him to plead guilty in exchange for avoiding the death penalty.
In prison, Martinez becomes agitated when Haller shows him Roulet's picture. Haller begins to suspect that Roulet could be the real killer in the Martinez case, but bound by attorney-client confidentiality rules, he cannot tell the police what he has learned.
Investigator Frank is mysteriously killed after leaving a voicemail message claiming that he has found Martinez's ticket out of jail. Haller is suspected of killing Frank because a collector's gun missing from his house was used to kill Frank, a gun that Haller believes was taken by Roulet after the latter broke into Haller's home.
Obliged to do his best for his client, guilty or not, Haller cross-examines the beaten prostitute and discredits her in the jury's eyes. After a prison informant lies to the prosecution and on the witness stand, the defense moves to dismiss all charges in the current case. Roulet is set free, delighting his mother, but the police then arrest Roulet immediately for the previous murder case, based upon testimony Haller coaxed out of the witness.
Haller acquires a gun from his driver, Earl, as a precaution against any retribution he may face. Roulet is released due to lack of evidence and sets out immediately to kill Haller's wife and child, but Haller finds out in time to get them out of the house. He is waiting as Roulet arrives and draws his gun. Roulet mockingly tells Haller he won't be able to guard his family this way every day. But a group of bikers that Haller has previously represented brutally assaults Roulet.
Upon arriving home, Haller discovers Roulet's mother inside. She shoots him with his own gun, the same one that killed Frank, confessing that she committed that murder. Haller, wounded, kills her with his new gun.
After being discharged from the hospital, Haller discovers that Frank had found a parking ticket issued to Roulet near the house of the murdered victim—strong evidence against Roulet in his pending murder trial. Martinez will be released, and Haller rides off to his next case.

Mystic River

A 2001 novel by Dennis Lehane, Mystic River was brought to the screen in 2003 by director Clint Eastwood. The film version starred Sean Penn and Tim Robbins, who both won Oscars for their roles, and Kevin Bacon and Laurence Fishburne.

Years ago, Dave Boyle escaped with his life from mysterious men in Boston. In present day Boston, he is reunited with his childhood friends, Jimmy Markum and Sean Devine when the former's eldest daughter is found dead in a ditch. Sean, now a detective, and Jimmy, an ex-convict, both vow to find the killer themselves. Unfortunately, Dave, who came home to his wife all bloody the night of the murder, is their prime suspect...

Equilibrium

Ultra-violent (although surprisingly bloodless) science fiction action film that either rips off or brilliantly homages every great work of dystopian fiction (particularly We). Although it's completely unoriginal, it's well-liked for being totally shiny.

Due to its similar aesthetic, Equilibrium is often accused of ripping off The Matrix, although it is completely free of wire work (according to the director) and Bullet Time. Stars a pre-Batman Christian Bale as John Preston, who has one of the highest personal on-screen body counts of any film character.

Also notable for having, at its climax, what is possibly the single coolest one-on-one gun battle ever filmed. At a two-foot range.
Equilibrium created and named the Gun Kata trope.

Jurassic Park

Scientists discover the ability to bring extinct animals back to life via a complex cloning process. To make a profit off this technology, the company decides to build a theme park featuring living dinosaurs.

This in itself would not be such a bad idea, except the organizers rush to get it open, build it on a remote island, and have almost no security personnel, deciding to automate the whole thing with unreliable computers — even refusing to tell the software designer what the system is for.
Naturally, everything goes wrong. Repeatedly.

The book was written by Michael Crichton, while the 1993 movie was directed bySteven Spielberg. Both were insanely popular then and are considered modern classics now. The film is labeled as having one of the most revolutionary breakthroughs in visual effects that changed movie-making. Despite going to great lengths to create extremely convincing animatronic dinosaurs, this was balanced with groundbreakingly realistic CGI ones. The CGI involved essentially killed the use of muppets and stop motion in modern film. Besides the requisite Hollywood mistakes, many paleontologists and dinosaur fanatics also loved it. The moment in the film where the characters first come across a dinosaur in full view and are just blown away, "...it's a dinosaur!" could be the new generation's equivalent to the Star Destroyer overhead from Star Wars.
Two sequels were made to the original film. While the second film shared the name of the second book The Lost World: Jurassic Park, (1997) it had a wildly different storyline. Jurassic Park III (2001) came out several years later. The same basic story exists in all of the films, only separated by what characters are involved and certain action scenes. There's also a computer-game tie-in,Trespasser.

Atlantis: the lost empire

The movie begins with a great cataclysm that occurred in the distant past.

Flash forward to the early 20th century. Milo Thatch, a young, poor, orphaned linguist, has uncovered evidence of the existence of a great civilization in the past, Atlantis, which was previously thought to be just a myth. Despite his breakthroughs in deciphering clues hidden in the writings and legends of many disparate cultures his ideas are rejected by peers and his proposed expedition, to find "the Shepherd's Journal" and follow its instructions to the lost city itself, is rejected out of hand. However, a mysterious woman steps in and offers him a chance to prove his theory, backed by the mysterious billionaire Mr. Whitmore, who knew Milo's grandfather and had agreed years earlier to help finance Milo's expedition.

Once Milo meets Whitmore and convinces him of his own personal determination and commitment he is invited to join an expedition that is setting out to make the unprecedented trip to Atlantis itself. The rag-tag team is led by Commander Rourke, a straight, no-nonsense military man, who also knew Milo's grandfather and worked with him on the previous expedition where they found the Shepherd's Journal. Once they arrive at the destination from which they might never return, they discover an underdeveloped, dying society that has abandoned and forgotten their written language — and Milo becomes a translator between the two cultures. However, it is revealed that there is an ulterior purpose to the expedition that Milo is unaware of, and his compatriots are not all that they seem.

While Atlantis is technically in the Disney canon, it does not appear much in modern promotionals, probably because the movie did not do too well in the theater, adding to the growing fear that 2D animated movies were dead. It was otherwise notable for being accused of ripping off set pieces similar to those in Nadia The Secret Of Blue Water (an unrelated anime series also about Atlantean mythology) and Stargate. (Stargate Atlantis, however, is unrelated.) See also Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis, acinematic game which was mooted as the basis for an Indy 4 that never was. The movie itself was based on Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne, as was Nadia, which goes some way in explaining similar themes. For what it is worth, one of the credited writers is Joss Whedon, and Mike Mignola was the production designer.

Red Cliff

Red Cliff is an Chinese epic-war movie based on the Battle of the Red Cliff(208-209 AD)  and events during the  end of the Han Dynasty and the time of the three kingdom in the ancient china. the film is directed by John Woo.

the movie is wonderful due to its special effects and a very fine piece of work from the Motion Pictures. the exotic ancient china is fully reflected in this movie. the style of emperor and the life of rebels. Its very exciting to watch the progress of the diffident characters and the change of events and its thrill.

Cast Away

Based on the story written by William Broyles Jr. Cast Away has a farfetched meaning in that life style of this century. This is a drama released on December 7 2000 directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks. And yes for this performance Tom Hanks was nominated for the Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 73rd Academy Awards.

Naturally his work in this movie was appreciated a lot because what he showed or gave to the audience was completely natural. Acting like a madman need some guts and talent, oh yes let me give you an idea try to act like a madman after observing those who are living in  brutal world of mental hospital, you will find that you are not able to. If you look it as a real situation then any person in place of Tom would have gone crazy, what do you think can you live in a isolated island with none other than just a volleyball named Wilson for 4 years.

At last when his preparation is complete and he is determined to return to his normal life, he sails away in his wooden boat.

Time is cruel that’s all for now, it’s better you watch movie………..

Just Like Heaven

Here is the movie which reflects the romantic love story mixed with fantasy and humor.  it was directed by Mark Waters, starring Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo, and Jon Heder. It reached #1 in the United States box office, though it earned much less than anticipated.
Plot:
Elizabeth Masterson (Reese Witherspoon), a young doctor whose work is her whole life, had a serious car accident while on her way to a blind date. Three months later, David Abbott (Mark Ruffalo), a landscape architect recovering from the death of his wife, moves into the apartment that had been Elizabeth's.
Elizabeth appears to David at the apartment. Though seemingly a normal person, she has ghostly properties and abilities: she can suddenly appear and disappear, move through walls, and once takes over his actions. When they meet, they are both surprised, as Elizabeth is not aware yet of her condition.
For the most part, David is the only one who can see Elizabeth, leading others to believe that he is hallucinating and talking to himself. It is later revealed that one of Elizabeth's young nieces can also sense her presence although she cannot see her.
At first, Elizabeth does not remember anything of her life, and refuses to believe that she is dead. Her memories come back gradually. Together, assisted by Zen-like psychic Darryl (Jon Heder), she and David find out who she is, what happened to her, and why they are connected.
Eventually, David discovers that the reason he is the only one who can see Elizabeth is that he was her blind date. They find that her body is in a coma in the hospital. In accordance with her living will, she will soon be taken off life support. Elizabeth's spirit and David, who have fallen in love, manage to prevent this just in time, and she miraculously recovers. However, she doesn't remember anything that happened during the coma or any of the events with David, which leaves him heartbroken.
One day, Elizabeth goes up to her roof and sees David, who got in with the spare key and is finishing up the garden there. Just as he is about to leave, she asks for her key back. When their hands touch, her memory is restored, and they kiss. Before the credits roll, Darryl is shown looking at them in a crystal ball. Darryl is proud and sighs "Righteous".

So what do you think would you like to see this movies………….
